Who is Your librarian?
Hello! My name is Elizabeth Wilcox, and I am the library media specialist at Genoa Area Elementary School in Genoa, Ohio. I am very excited about my role as a teacher-librarian, and I can't wait to meet you!
I have been working for the Genoa Area Local School District for over twenty years. I taught English/Language Arts at the high school for 13 years before switching to work in our school libraries. I have a bachelor's and master's degree from Bowling Green State University. My undergraduate major is in education, with a focus on history and a minor in English; my master's degree is in Curriculum and Instruction. In 2011, I completed coursework at Indiana State University in order to receive a certificate in Library Media Science.
I am married and have three children: Ian, Amelia, and Zoe who all attend Genoa Schools. I love to spend my free time with my family watching movies, camping, swimming, and of course, reading lots of books!
Happy reading!
